Community Peace Concert

A celebration of World Interfaith Harmony Week


​A multi-faith, multi-ethnic, and multi-national concert

for global peace led by Harry Pickens


A concert to promote inter-religious and intercultural music and dialogue for global unity and peace.  There are many who seek to divide people of faith -- this concert intends to bring us all together as one -- regardless of our faith, traditions, or backgrounds.  


PERFORMANCES BY:

  • Persian Rumi singer Massoud Farrokhi Louie
  • Native American Blackfoot Nation, Donavan White, a member of the Salt Creek Sun Dance Community
  • Opera singer Gregory Rahming (Crescent Hill Baptist Church)
  • Ahl-E Qulub from the Qadriya Sufi order and students of Sufi teacher Shaykh Dr. Ghulam Jilani
  • Karen Bhutanese Youth Choir
  • Sunder Iyer of the Hindu Temple of Kentucky
  • The Temple Choir with Cantor David Lipp (Congregation Adath Jeshurun) and Cantor Sharon Hordes (Jewish Community of Louisville)
  • Baha'i musicians Judy Parsley and Nancy Harris
  • Imam Wasif from the River Road Mosque
