What We Do

Established in 1996, IPP has been serving the community for two decades with a mission of promoting interfaith understanding and peacemaking. We do this mainly through the following three paths:

Annual Series Programs:
New Year’s Day Prayer Service | World Interfaith Harmony Concert for Peace | Memorial Day Interfaith Service | Interfaith Iftar Dinner (Breaking of the Ramadan Fast) | Hiroshima/Nagasaki Remembrance & Japanese Lantern Ceremony | My Recipe for Peace Dinner | Community Interfaith Thanksgiving Dinner | Thanksgiving Eve Candlelight Walk to End Hunger | Holiday Open House Bazaar

Community Peacemaking Programs:
End hunger in our community – Major faith partner with the Dare to Care Hunger Walk
Reduce community violence – Collaborate with Christopher 2X and his community programs
Promote wellness – Provide weekly free meditation sessions for peace and tranquility
Peace and compassion – Partner with Drepung Gomang Center with their mission of engaged compassion
Third Thursday monthly lunch presentation - Educating on peace and justice with Fellowship of Reconciliation's partnership
Interfaith youth engagement – Partner with Bellarmine University's Interfaith Youth Core program

Just to mention a few...

Educational Programs:
"Spirituality U." Education Series -- Offer non-credit courses, educational programs about religions, spirituality, and meditation retreats
“Introduction to World Religions” -- Provide developed concise educational documents that are available in print, in Braille, and online

Above all, it is the people that make our organization so effective in the community. We have a diverse Board of Directors made up of Christians, Jews, Muslims, Baha’is, Buddhists, Hindus, and Unitarians. All are dedicated to the mission of IPP.  Join us at these events, and together we can work for peace and interfaith understanding in our community.

In Peace, Haleh Karimi | Executive Director
