Information About IPP

Delivers Many Outstanding Interfaith Programs, Events and Activities

  • Provides on-going programs and events including weekly meditation, monthly luncheon presentations, interfaith prayer services, peace vigils, concerts, art exhibits, lectures, films, interfaith dinners, book-signings and more.
  • Serves as the major faith partner for Louisville’s annual Hunger Walk which in 2011 drew over 2,400 participants.
  • Developed concise “Introduction to World Religions” documents that are available in print, braille and audio versions.
  • Offer free one-hour educational programs about Islam, Buddhism and other world religions.
  • Has a Board of Directors including Christians, Jews, Muslims, Baha’is, Buddhists, Hindus and Unitarians.
  • The number of persons attending IPP events has increased from just a few hundred in 2004 to over 10,000 in 2011.

Reaches 100,000+ Persons with Interfaith Information via Radio, TV, Facebook, Twitter, and Email

  • Sends daily e-mail notices about interfaith activities to over 1,300 people in the Louisville area.
  • Produces Public Radio underwriting spots that reach hundreds of thousands of people each month.
  • Reaches the online world via frequent postings on Twitter, Facebook and other social media, while sending weekly  emails about religious holidays and daily emails promoting interfaith events.
  • Has been featured in dozens of radio, TV, newspaper and magazine stories that reach hundreds of thousands of people in Louisville, throughout the US and around the world.
  • Is constantly updating and improving our highly interactive web site:  www.Paths2Peace.org.

Has Embarked on Interfaith Ventures in an International Setting

  • Has undertaken interfaith peacemaking and cultural exchange programs in Morocco and Japan (2011), Iran (2010), Turkey and Qatar (2009), Egypt and Syria (2008), and Israel & the West Bank (2007).
  • Provided peace, reconciliation and empowerment education in Rwanda and Congo (2009 & 2011) and Denmark (2009).
  • Involved over 10,000 young people from 19 different nations around the world in IPP’s innovative “Peace Postcards” project, and presented an exhibit of Peace Postcards in Hiroshima, Japan, in August of 2011.
  • Partners with the World Affairs Council of Kentucky & Southern Indiana in hosting dignitaries from Europe, Asia, Africa  and the Middle East.

Partners with Over 100 Groups, Organizations, and Businesses in the US and Internationally

Interfaith Paths to Peace is an Accredited Charity with the Better Business Bureau.  IPP is a "Partner" of the international Charter for Compassion campaign, and has developed strong relationships with well over 100 local, regional, national and international groups—many of whom request IPP to co-sponsor their events.  These include churches, mosques, temples, monasteries, synagogues, houses of worship, museums, libraries, peace organizations, schools, businesses, prisons, and international groups such as the Shalom Center, the Islamic Society of North America, the U.S. State Department, the Peace Culture Foundation in Hiroshima, Japan, and more.
